Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick Creator Review

My sister gifted me this lipstick on my birthday even though she knows how I am not a fan of purples.  Anyway, here is the review of Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in the shade “Creator.”

How to Apply:
Step 1. Apply liquid lipstick in the centre of your upper lip and follow the contours of your mouth.
Step 2. Glide the liquid lipstick across the entire bottom lip.

My Experience with Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick Creator:

I like the packaging of this Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick range. “Creator” comes in a color-coded packaging with a nice applicator. This is a plastic tube but it doesn’t look cheap.

“Creator” is a vibrant purple shade that will suit fair to medium skin tones well. This is a lovely shade but I personally cannot rock it without a full face of makeup. It doesn’t do a lot for my yellow-toned complexion if I wear it without a nice blush and eye makeup. This shade is very pigmented and one swipe gives a nice coat of color. You need a second swipe just to even out the color on the lips.

The texture is slightly thick and sticky but it does not bother me. It glides smoothly on the lips. It does not feel patchy or dry, but it never sets to a fully matte finish. It feels sticky on the lips if you press your lips together, but it does not peel or fade away from the lips. Overall, the texture is comfortable and does not settle into the fine lines. It is completely smudge-proof, transfer-proof and waterproof.

The staying power is too good to be true. The lipstick just doesn’t budge from the lips, come what may. I have has a meal and drink with this lipstick on my lips and it didn’t transfer or fade at all. Hence, no reapplication is required. Removal of this lipstick is not a cakewalk. I need a lot of an oil-based remover to fully get rid of the color.

This is a nice lipstick and I have never seen a formula like this. It is sticky and lasts super long and yet doesn’t feel comfortable or odd on the lips.
