I made some progress this week and I've added a couple of projects to my list.
1. Hubby's sweater is coming along nicely. About twelve inches and the body will be finished and I can start on the sleeves. Once they are done hubby will have a new sweater!
2. Mom's Afghan is sorted out. I didn't realize (or remember) that Mom had numbered all of the blocks. You can see a small piece of paper pinned to the blocks. There are twenty four blocks numbered and six that are not numbered, and every single one is a different pattern! I thought there would be a few different patterns and multiple blocks of each pattern.
The block on the top of this pile is not completed... I'm really going to have to find the pattern now!
3. The box in the craft room got sorted out but I totally forgot to take a photo.
4. I'm adding a project this week, actually two projects. There are two more signs that we want to hang in the dining room. Hobby Lobby had both of them but they are now gone so I'm going to try and make them myself. I want a vertical sign that says " GATHER" and a rectangular sign that says "Wherever two or more are GATHERED in His name there is LOVE". The "gather" sign seems appropriate for a dining room and the other sign has personal significance for us as the words are part of a favorite song, "The Wedding Song-There Is Love" written by Paul Stokey and sung by Peter, Paul and Mary. I'm going to attempt to make a stencil with my Cricut... hopefully it will work and turn out as I envision!
5. I have a birthday gift in the making and I will share that on Thursday. It needs to be finished by tomorrow... nothing like cutting things close!!
